The database intends to cover over 100 countries and is an initiative of the International Energy Agency, in collaboration with the European Commission and the Johannesburg Renewable Energy Coalition.

Visitors can search for information according to country, policy instrument, renewable energy technology, renewable energy target and other criteria.
