Final kick off Belgian off shore wind farm
23 May 2007 - C-Power signed the final contracts with banks Dexia and Rabobank for financing the first Belgian offshore wind farm.

Earlier C-Power received all necessary permits to build a wind farm 30 kilometres off the Oostende coastline. On this spot, called the Thornton bank, a wind farm with a maximum capacity of 300 Megawatts will be build. The wind farm consisting of sixty 5 MW turbines is expected to supply about 1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity a year, about one third of Belgium’s renewable energy target in 2010.
