New report on biofuels in Europe
The EU market for biofuels envisages a yearly turnover of somewhere between 14 and 21 billion € in 2010 (ex duty and VAT).

This market volume is estimated by ‘Biofuels for transportation: new business opportunities’, a new report published by GreenPrices Publishing.

The authors derived this market volume derived from the EU targets for the share of biofuels in the European transport sector in 2005 (2 %) and 2010 (5.75%) and the production costs for different kinds of biofuels. The total turnover can be lowered to 10 billion/a if the development of advanced biofuels will be favorable.

The report contains a concise overview of biofuels development in the EU and elsewhere. It follows several biofuels chains from well to wheel, describes availability of biomass, policy mechanisms and some country cases. Concluding, it describes the main market developments towards 2010.

‘Biofuels for transportation: new business opportunities’ (July 2005). Price € 885 ex VAT). See also: www.greenprices.com or mail to publishing@greenprices.com.
