Parliament will finally judge on research programme

EC decision on feed-in system in Austria may help Luxembourg
The European Commission recently authorised the feed-in system in Austria, after the system passed state aid criteria. The Commission concluded that the scheme was in compliance with the EU Directive on the promotion of green electricity. Read

New alternative IEA scenarios due
The International Energy Agency IEA will publish a new ‘alternative scenario’ in the next World Energy Outlook, to be issued on 7 November. “The scenario will show the urgency: we will need political actions, no words”, says Noé van Hulst, director of the IEA Policy analysis. Read
